Shining New Floors, Brighter Future: Learning Community Upgrades with Durable Epoxy Renovation
Project Description
Spectrum Middle School in Elk River, Minnesota recently completed an epoxy flooring renovation with the help of Concrete Science in order to enhance its facilities. The project was focused on high-traffic areas like hallways and common areas, aiming to improve safety, durability, and aesthetics.
Epoxy was chosen for its resilience against heavy foot traffic, low maintenance, non-slip properties, and customizable design, aligning with the school’s branding. The renovation involved surface preparation, epoxy application in layers, and a curing period, conducted on a tight deadline during summer break to minimize disruption.
The new flooring enhances the learning environment by improving safety with non-slip surfaces, reducing maintenance costs, and supporting sustainability provided the product lifespan.
