Project Description

Great Wolf Lodge New England in Fitchburg, Massachusetts, underwent a significant renovation starting in 2022 with a key focus on enhancing the existing splashpad structure, a centerpiece of the 68,000-square-foot indoor water park. The splashpad renovation aimed to modernize this area to improve safety, accessibility, and engagement for families, aligning it with the standards of newer Great Wolf Lodge properties.

Problems Solved

The renovation included the following enhancements:

  • Improved Safety Surfaces: Non-slip flooring installed by Concrete Science were upgraded to reduce the risk of slips and falls.
  • Accessibility Upgrades: The renovation incorporated ADA-compliant features, such as smoother transitions into shallow areas and accessible pathways, to accommodate guests with mobility challenges.

Finishing coat of a high solids solvent-based sealer with a heavy mechanical sand broadcast for added grip mechanism
